Martin Pedroza won three races on opening day at Fairplex Park on Thursday, but veteran jockey Joy Scott was the one who had the crowd buzzing.

Scott, astride Somethingaboutmerri in the sixth race, took the lead in the six-furlong maiden race with the 65-1 long shot and prevailed by three parts of a length over Gambling Pokerface at 14-1 to not only win but return $132.40 to the faithful.
