FOOD TRUCKS ROLL INTO MONMOUTH PARK SATURDAY FOR ‘TRUCKTOBERFEST’
They’re back! The food trucks return to Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport this Saturday for the annual Food ‘Trucktoberfest’ celebration.
With an authentic German beer garden on tap, this year’s Food Trucktoberfest will feature nearly 20 trucks from across the state serving up their classic fares, some with a German twist. From Fork in the Road to Red Hook Lobster, the trucks will span the appetite spectrum and provide something to suit everyone’s palette.
On the drinking side, such German staples as Paulaner, Hofbrau and Grolsch will be poured in the beer garden coupled with various Oktoberfest brews.
In addition, live music will play “On the Green” from the Rory Daniels Band, with all patrons wearing Lederhosen receiving free admission to the track.
The day’s festivities go right from gate open at 11:30 through 5 p.m. Live racing kicks off at 12:50 p.m. for the first of 10 live Thoroughbred races.
