Little Mike Must Be Caught in Appleton

Little Mike has gone wire-to-wire in a pair of graded turf routes at the current meet and he is once again the target in Gulfstream Park's Grade 3 Appleton on Sunday.

The hard knocking 4-year-old gelding, trained by Dale Romans and ridden by Joe Bravo, does some of his best work at today's flat mile distance and figures to hit the ground running from the rail.

Little Mike's next door neighbor Cherokee Artist has run well in a pair of course/distance optional claiming spots at the current stand and projects a tactical trip under Ramon Dominguez.

Succesful Mission beat Cherokee Artist last time for his new trainer Eddie Plesa Jr. He owns running style versatility and might be more patiently handled this time around.

Barbaro's 5-year-old brother Nicanor looms a pace factor in his second start off a layoff. He does his best work on the front end but does not figure to grab the early lead in here.

Sayif, Commandeered, Riviera Cocktail, Asphalt, Mikoshi, and main track only Jardim are also entered.
