The New York Gaming Commission's case against Linda Rice will not be resolved until at least December.

After a second day of testimony for the trainer, the hearing was recessed until Dec. 9.

The NYGC accused Rice of paying NYRA officials to get “regular, continual and improper information,” such as expected entries and past performances, mostly from Jose Morales Jr., a racing clerk.

Rice admitted in testimony on Wednesday that she had made payments to New York Racing Association staff, including Morales. However, she said those payments were loans, or gratuities provided during the holiday season that did not violate any rules.

Thursday's testimony mostly addressed how Rice conducts her training operations. But after three days of testimony, she maintains having never given money to Morales or others in exchange for information about races that had yet to be drawn.
