Life At Ten Strong DuPont Favorite

Life At Ten, the controversial last place finisher in the 2010 Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic, is the overwhelming 4-5 favorite in Saturday's Grade 3 Allaire DuPont Distaff on the Preakness undercard.

Todd Pletcher's talented 6-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon won four graded races last year but is best remembered for warming up poorly under John Velazquez before easing in the Ladies' Classic at Churchill Downs. She was the beaten favorite in her optional claiming return at Gulfstream and figures to take plenty of action once again.

Life At Ten is capable of setting the pace but will probably sit behind Lily Quatorze and/or Decelerator in this spot.

Pletcher also has Super Espresso and Ramon Dominguez will ride the surface switcher. She obviously did not care for a turf marathon last time and returns to a preferred conventional dirt route.

Payton D'oro appears to have the best chance of upsetting the favorite for Larry Jones. The '09 Black-Eyed Susan winner only raced twice last year and got no pace help behind the aforementioned Decelerator in her much needed Oaklawn return March 17. The tactical rebound threat has worked five times since her last and should offer value at 4-1 on the morning line.

Baltimore Belle and Check Point round out the seven horse field.
