Late-blooming Life At Ten captured her sixth consecutive race on Saturday with a dominant three-length score over Miss Singhsix (Ire) in the $750,350 Delaware Handicap (G2), giving trainer Todd Pletcher a record-tying fourth win in the race.
The massive five-year-old Malibu Moon mare set a comfortable pace through the far turn before pulling away from the field in early stretch to win going away under jockey John Velazquez. She covered 1¼ miles in 2:03.21 on a fast track and secured a spot in the $2-million Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (G1) at Churchill Downs this fall via the Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” series.
