Ky. Derby works: No More Time is 1 of 14 futures choices on tab

No More Time, who won the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis Stakes last month, was back on the work tab, one of the 14 Kentucky Derby 2024 futures candidates who breezed Saturday morning.

The son of Not This time went a half-mile in 47.9 seconds at Palm Meadows in Florida. Last month trainer José D’Angelo said No More Time was likely to start in the Tampa Bay Derby (G3) next Saturday with a chance to win his way to Churchill Downs to run for the roses May 4.

No More Time was best-priced at 90-1 this week in the Las Vegas futures for the Derby.

Molly’s Town (Mo Town) worked three furlongs in 41.2 seconds at Horseshoe Indianapolis. It was the 44th fastest of 46 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fifth in the Advent going 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Oaklawn on Dec. 8 for trainer Genaro García.

The Wine Steward (Vino Rosso) worked four furlongs in 48.7 seconds at Gulfstream Park. It was the 14th fastest of 52 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In his last start he placed second in the Breeders’ Futurity (G1) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Keeneland on Oct. 7 for trainer Mike Maker.

West Saratoga (Exaggerator), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Iroquois), worked five furlongs in 1:05.0 at The Thoroughbred Center. It was the fourth fastest of six works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at The Thoroughbred Center. In his last start he placed third in the Sam F. Davis (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Tampa Bay Downs on Feb. 10 for trainer Larry Demeritte.

Lucky Jeremy (Lookin At Lucky) worked four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Turfway Park. It was the seventh fastest of 103 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race.
