Pretty Mischievous, winner of last year's Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks and champion 3-year-old filly of 2023, has been retired by her owner-breeder Godolphin.

Godolphin announced her retirement Thursday with a video posted on X. It showed her moving to Godolphin's broodmare division at Gainsborough Farm. Her retirement was reported earlier by Thoroughbred Daily News.

Pretty Mischievous is a 4-year-old daughter of Into Mischief out of the Grade 1-winning Tapit mare Pretty City Dancer. She was a three-time winner, including once at the stakes level in 2022, though she found her best as a sophomore in 2023. Across six starts last year she won four times: the Rachel Alexandra (G2), Kentucky Oaks, Acorn (G1) and Test (G1). She was expected to finish her 3-year-old season in the Breeders' Cup Distaff, but she was scratched the day before the race after trainer Brendan Walsh found that she was not feeling 100 percent.

In three starts as a 4-year-old, Pretty Mischievous finished third in the La Troienne (G1) and Ogden Phipps (G1). She finished her career with a fifth-place finish behind Adare Manor in the Clement L. Hirsch (G1) on Aug. 3 at Del Mar. Pretty Mischievous retires with a 13: 7-2-3 record and $2,112,560 in career earnings.
