Nash, the 20-1 fourth choice in Las Vegas futures for Kentucky Derby 2024, had his first timed workout of 2024 on Friday.

The Godolphin homebred colt by Medaglia d’Oro was clocked at 49.2 seconds for his half-mile on the main track at Fair Grounds. It was his first breeze since he finished third nearly two weeks ago in the Gun Runner Stakes.

247 horses are in Nevada futures for Kentucky Derby 2024.

Trainer Brad Cox has not committed Nash to any particular spot for a 3-year-old debut, but the Lecomte (G3) on Jan. 20 and the Risen Star (G2) on Feb. 17 would be strong options. Both races are Derby points preps at Fair Grounds.
