Weekend wins by trainers Brad Cox and Mark Casse brought two new double-digit names to the Kentucky Derby 2026 leaderboard.

My World, trained by Cox, and Casse's Strategic Risk each earned 10 qualifying points with their wins Saturday in the Jerome at Aqueduct and the Smarty Jones at Oaklawn, respectively.

Cox now has four horses with Derby points, and Casse has three, with Silent Tactic joining the list this week after finishing second in the Smarty Jones.

Ted Noffey, unraced since winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, remained no. 1 in the standings with 40 points.

The Derby trail takes a break this week before resuming Jan. 17 with more points at stake. The Grade 3 Lecomte at Fair Grounds offers 20-10-6-4-2 points, as do the Withers, Holy Bull (G3) and Southwest (G3) two weeks later on Jan. 31. All of those are at 1 1/16 miles, except the 1 1/8-mile Withers.
