Obliteration breezed three furlongs in 39.0 at Fair Grounds on Friday morning. It was the 16th fastest of 18 works at the distance.
The 2-year-old son of Violence is trained by Steve Asmussen.
Obliteration placed fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1) at Del Mar on Oct. 31. He won the Sanford (G3) at Saratoga on July 5, posting a 91 Beyer Speed Figure, according to Daily Racing Form. He placed second in the Saratoga Special (G2) at Saratoga on Aug. 2.
Obliteration has a career record of 6: 2-3-0 with earnings of $505,800 for owner Leland Ackerley Racing.
