Kentucky Derby 2026: Grade 1 winner Intrepido leads Monday tab
Intrepido, winner of the Grade 1 American Pharoah at Santa Anita in October, led the juveniles on the Monday-morning work tab.
The Jeff Mullins trainee worked for the third time since finishing fifth behind Ted Noffey in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile on Oct. 31. He went five furlongs in 1:02.0, 31st of 40 at the distance. He is expected to return to the races during the winter at Santa Anita.

Acknowledgemeplz (Bucchero) worked five furlongs in 1:00.4 at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the 11th fastest of 40 works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he won a maiden race going 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Santa Anita on Oct. 25 for trainer Doug O'Neill.
Chip Honcho (Connect) worked five furlongs in 1:01.2 at Fair Grounds on Monday morning. It was the fastest of 13 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he won a maiden race going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 20 for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Crossingthechannel (Omaha Beach) worked three furlongs in 36.6 seconds at Laurel Park on Monday morning. It was the fastest of three works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Laurel Park. In his last start he placed second in a maiden race going six furlongs on the main track at Laurel Park on Nov. 8 for trainer Michael Trombetta.
Epic Desire (Uncle Mo) worked three furlongs in 37.9 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Monday morning. It was the seventh fastest of eight works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed third in a maiden race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 2 for trainer Todd Pletcher.
