Kentucky Derby 2023: See updated odds for all 18 horses

Brad Cox's Angel Of Empire took 7-2 favoritism in Kentucky Derby 2023 after the scratch of Forte on Saturday morning, with Tapit Trice a solid second choice at 9-2 in the betting action with about 40 minutes to post time. 

Derma Sotogake, bred in Japan and trained by Hidetaka Otonashi, was the third choice at 8-1, with Two Phil's close behind at 9-1.

The longest shots on the board were Jace's Road, Raise Cain and King Russell, all at 31-1. Sun Thunder was sitting at 30-1.

The field was reduced to 18 colts after the Saturday morning scratch of morning line favorite Forte. As of Saturday at 6:20 p.m. EDT, $43,904,817 had been wagered in the win pool.

Three horses were scratched Thursday: Practical Move, Lord Miles and Continuar. Skinner was scratched Friday.

The Kentucky Derby is race 12 of 14 on Saturday's card at Churchill Downs, with a post time of 6:57 p.m. EDT. The National Weather Service forecast called for a partly sunny day with scattered sprinkles and a high near 80.
