With California-based Kentucky Derby contenders Messier and Taiba on the Churchill Downs track for the first time on Monday, trainer Tim Yakteen spoke to the media about both colts, what it means to be at the Derby running horses in his name, and what it was like to receive the horses from trainer Bob Baffert.
Yakteen spoke about the personality differences in Messier and Taiba and where he would like them to be in terms of post position and race position.
