The 148th Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs will feature a full field of 20 3-year-colts led by Zandon, the 3-1 morning-line favorite for trainer Chad Brown. Epicenter, trained by Steve Asmussen, is the 7-2 second choice. Neither Brown nor Asmussen, who have combined to win six Eclipse Awards as North America's most outstanding trainer, has ever won the Kentucky Derby.

The Kentucky Derby is carded as the 12th of 14 races on Saturday at Churchill Downs with an approximate post time of 6:57 p.m. EDT.

One day earlier will be the Kentucky Oaks for 3-year-old fillies. Nest for trainer Todd Pletcher is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in a distinguished cast of 14 runners. Post time for the Oaks is scheduled for 5:51 p.m. EDT on Friday.
