Trainer Chad Brown spoke Friday morning about his Kentucky Derby 2022 prospect Zandon, how Early Voting is more likely for the Preakness Stakes and also revisited some of his past Derby efforts that came up short.

He goes into detail on the many factors and considerations about running a young horse like Early Voting in the Kentucky Derby, and how sometimes the tough mile-and-a-quarter race can negatively impact a young horse's long term career.

He also talks about a couple of his closer Kentucky Derby runs in Good Magic, who was second to Justify in 2017 and Normandy Invasion, who was fourth behind Orb in 2013.

Brown then went on to talk about how he will once again have a string at Churchill Downs for the meet and what it takes to win competitive races at top meets like Churchill Downs.  He also explained that having a string at Churchill Downs will help him to better ship in to the Kentucky Downs meet in September.
