Kentucky Derby 2021: See the latest field of 20 horses
With the Kentucky Derby less than two weeks away, the likely field is coming more into focus.
Word came Saturday that two on the points leaderboard were pulled from contention: Concert Tour and Crowded Trade, both of whom will aim toward the Preakness on May 15.
Those moves allowed O Besos and Get Her Number to slide into the top 20 on the leaderboard.
Earlier in the week, the connections of Panadol and Rombauer also decided to bypass the Run for the Roses.
Trainer Greg Foley told Horse Racing Nation that if O Besos made the cut, he would enter the race. Foley had his first Derby contender last year in Major Fed, who finished 10th.
Trainer Brad Cox told HRN Sunday Morning that no decision has been made for Caddo River.
And Dream Shake, No. 18 on the leaderboard, is questionable for the Derby. Trainer Peter Eurton told HRN on Friday that a decision probably would be made in the middle of this week.
The first three outside the top 20 are King Fury, Hockey Dad and Keepmeinmind.
Here is how the top 20 are shaping up, with trainers and points totals:
