Kentucky Derby 2018 odds: Noble Indy among top choices

Louisiana Derby winner Noble Indy took his spot among the low-priced 2018 Kentucky Derby offerings at the Wynn Las Vegas following his victory Saturday at Fair Grounds.

The Todd Pletcher-trained son of Take Charge Indy now sits a 12-1 fifth choice at the Wynn — but he’s still seen as second-best in the Pletcher barn.

First across the wire in the Grade 2 San Felipe Stakes, McKinzie is alone as the 7-1 favorite with Bolt d’Oro and Justify both 8-1. The Wynn lists Grade 2 Rebel Stakes winner Magnum Moon — the other Pletcher colt at 10-1.

Along with Noble Indy, Solomini, the Rebel runner-up, is also 12-1.

Lone Sailor, who briefly held the lead in the Louisiana Derby’s stretch run, is down to 25-1. My Boy Jack, who came with a strong outside run to finish a close third, is 22-1 having won previously on the Kentucky Derby trail in Oaklawn Park’s Grade 3 Southwest Stakes.

Before the Louisiana Derby, Noble Indy was 30-1, Lone Sailor 125-1 and My Boy Jack 40-1.
