Kentucky Derby 2017 Current Odds

6:01pm ET – $27,151,291 in the Win Pool

 

With post time at 6:46pm ET, your Kentucky Derby 2017 favorite is Always Dreaming at 9-2. Irish War Cry is not far behind at 5-1 and McCraken is the third choice at 6-1. Classic Empire was installed as the 4-1 morning line favorite, but is now the fourth choice at 7-1.

 

The sun has come back out, but the track is still sloppy as the Derby horses walk over to the paddock. 


 


4:35pm ET – $17,570,233 in the Win Pool

 

Always Dreaming and Irish War Cry are now 9-2 co-favorites for Kentucky Derby 2017. The skies have opened back up and rain has commenced once again at Churchill Downs.

 

McCraken is at 6-1, Classic Empire 7-1, and Gunnevera 10-1.

 

The longest shots in the field are still 57-1 Untrapped, 52-1 State of Honor, and 46-1 J Boys Echo.


 


3:27pm ET - $13,576,786 in the Win Pool

 

Clouds are back over the Churchill Downs track for Kentucky Derby 2017, but 4-1 favoritism for Always Dreaming is consistent. Irish War Cry was 9-2, but has gone back to 5-1. Classic Empire and McCraken are also on even terms again at 7-1.

 

At 58-1, Untrapped still proves the least popular among bettors, while Patch’s popularity has increased. The one-eyed Derby contender is at 13-1.

 

 

2:12pm ET - $10,218,489 in the Win Pool

 

Always Dreaming is still the 4-1 favorite for Kentucky Derby 2017, but Irish War Cry is sneaking closer at 9-2. The sunshine has continued to come out and so have the bettors, with the win pool increasing each minute.

 

McCraken remains at 7-1, followed by Classic Empire at 8-1 and Gunnevera at 9-1. Patch’s one eye story is still popular among Derby goers. Originally 30-1, Patch has come down to 14-1. Hence is back at 15-1 and Thunder Snow has slightly fallen to 16-1.

 

59-1 Untrapped continues to be the longest shot over 52-1 State of Honor.


 


12:47pm ET - $7,177,013 in the Win Pool

 

The sun has finally broken through on a rain-filled Kentucky Derby 2017 weekend.

 

Always Dreaming continues to sit at odds of 4-1 and remains the favorite over Irish War Cry at 5-1. McCraken is still 7-1 while Classic Empire, the 4-1 morning line favorite, is now 8-1. Although bettors have slightly backed off Classic Empire, those playing him could be receiving a more favorable price.

 

Untrapped is still the longest shot in the board at 60-1, followed by State of Honor at 54-1 and J Boys Echo at 45-1.

 

 


10:02am ET - $3,785,512 in the Win Pool

 

The rain continues for Kentucky Derby 2017, but so does the betting. Always Dreaming holds the 4-1 favorite position, followed by Irish War Cry at 5-1.

 

Classic Empire and McCraken are the co-third choice with odds of 7-1, and Gunnevera holds steady at 9-1.

 

The one-eyed Patch is 15-1, Hence is 16-1, and Thunder Snow is 18-1. Longshots include Untrapped, 64-1, State of Honor, 55-1, and J Boys Echo, 44-1.

 

7:06pm ET – $769,480 in the Win Pool

In 2016, there was $50,232,780 in the Win, Place and Show pools, so you can see at $769,480 there is still a long way to go in Kentucky Derby 2017

 

Originally the 4-1 favorite on the morning line odds, Classic Empire is now sitting at 7-1 behind McCraken, who is at 6-1, and Irish War Cry, 5-1. Always Dreaming has taken over as the favorite with current odds of 4-1.

 

Gunnevera’s odds have dropped from 15-1 to 9-1, the one-eyed Patch has fallen to 14-1, and Hence and Thunder Snow are currently 17-1.
