Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Gung Ho, a 20-1 shot in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT), was scratched out of the race Nov. 3, opening a position in the starting gate that will now be filled by Tequila Factor.
Ken Ramsey said trainer Mike Maker recommended not running the son of Kitten's Joy --Glory Dancer, by Honour and Glory, due to body soreness. A homebred for the Ramseys, Gung Ho has won two of four starts, including the Sunday Silence Stakes at Louisiana Downs.
Tequila Factor, the only horse on the also eligible list for the mile grass race, is a 2-year-old son of Pure Prize --Single Factor, by Mutakddim, trained by Ingrid Mason for Coby Tresner.
