Juvenile Fillies Turf Tough to Decipher
{{monthName}} {{day}}, {{year}} {{hour12}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}{{dayPeriod}}
If ever there was a mysterious race on the Breeders’ Cup card, it is the Juvenile Fillies Turf.
Not only is there a distinct lack of horses and races in this division
in North America, but the situation has been exaserbated this season as
the two most prominent stakes races leading up to the race, the Miss
Grillo in New York and the Jessamine at Keeneland, were both rained off
the turf. This makes for a lot of guessing as far as which filly could
pop up to take the one-mile test at Santa Anita.
