Juan Hernandez, Mark Glatt win Santa Anita meet titles
With more than $176 million wagered over the two-day Breeders’ Cup world championships on Friday and Saturday outpacing Santa Anita’s previous record Breeders’ Cup handle of more than $174 million in 2019 and thus ranking as the third-highest pari-mutuel total in Breeders’ Cup history, Santa Anita concluded its 19-day autumn meet on a high note Sunday. All-sources handle of $11.9 million outpaced the 2022 total, as the track looks ahead to the opening of its winter meet on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
