Jockey Suraj Narredu, a winner of more than 1,000 races in his native India, tallied his first North American victory when he guided Al Ali’s Invisible Star to a 1 ½-length score in the first race at Arlington Park on Sunday.
“He broke out well and was in ideal position the whole way,” Narraedu said. “He opened up in the stretch and went very well for me. This is a very big moment for me.”
Narredu, 26, began his career at the BARI riding school in Bangalore as a 12-year-old and has been riding professionally for eight years.
