Jockey Lindey Wade, who was thrown hard Monday at Lone Star Park when
his mount, Icelain Diva, broke down in the $75,000 Cinemine, escaped
serious injury and is scheduled to resume riding on Friday, which is the
next card of races at Lone Star.
Wade, 20, took off the remainder of his mounts following the incident, which took place in the stretch run of the seventh race. Wade sat up following the spill, and after a few minutes walked into the attending ambulance. He was then examined by first-aid personnel in the grandstand at Lone Star.
