J. B.'s Thunder Wires Breeders' Futurity

J. B.'s Thunder earned his way into the Breeders' Cup Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) with a front-running romp in the $400,000 Dixiana Breeders' Futurity (gr. I) at Keeneland Oct. 9.

Sent off a 5-1, J. B.'s Thunder widened his advantage on the final turn of the 1 1/16-mile test for 2-year-olds and cruised to a four-length victory for jockey Shaun Bridgmohan.

Al Stall Jr. trains the winning son of Thunder Gulch--Rebridled Dreams, by Unbridled's Song, for owner Columbine Stable. J. B.'s Thunder is unbeaten in two starts, having broken his maiden on the Saratoga turf at 1 1/16 miles Aug. 21.

"I had a feeling he’d leave on his toes today. He had been so sharp," Stall said. "He had a chance to school around here and get comfortable. Obviously he did, and Shaun just took it to ‘em."
