It’s Tricky, winner of the Grade 1 TVG Acorn, will depart Belmont Park for Saratoga Race Course on Saturday in preparation for a start in the July 23 Grade 1 TVG Coaching Club American Oaks, according to Artie Magnuson, assistant to trainer Kiaran McLaughlin.

Earlier, the barn had been mulling their options for when to take the 3-year-old filly, previously described by McLaughlin as “tricky,” to Saratoga.

“She’ll leave tomorrow and be there a week,” said Magnuson. “She can be a little quirky, but it’s not that bad.”

Owned by Darley Stable, It’s Tricky turned in her final workout at Belmont on Friday prior to her arrival in Saratoga, breezing five furlongs in 1:01.88.

Also on Belmont’s Friday worktab were McLaughlin’s Redding Colliery and Yankee Fourtune, who are both looking to return to the races following layoffs.

Redding Colliery, who won October’s Grade 2 Hawthorne Gold Cup Handicap and was placed second in November’s Grade 1 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs, posted a 50.03 four-furlong breeze in what was his second official workout since returning to the track.

“He’s doing very well,” said Magnuson of Redding Colliery, who carries the colors of Mrs. Fitriani Hay. “He was with Tony Costanzo in Florida and came in looking fantastic. He’s had a couple of breezes, in hand. We’re on page one still, but he looks fabulous. We couldn’t be happier.”

Harvey Clarke and Andrew Albstein’s Yankee Fourtune covered three furlongs in 37.24, his first workout following a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Canadian Turf at Gulfstream Park in February. The gelding closed his 2010 campaign with consecutive victories in the Grade 3 Hawthorne Derby and Grade 3 Commonwealth Turf at Churchill.

“It was his first work in a while,” said Magnuson. “He heads up to [Saratoga] tomorrow.”

Magnuson added that Mill House’s Trappe Shot will also depart for the Spa tomorrow and remains on course for a possible start in the Grade 1 Vanderbilt Handicap on August 7.
