Siena Farm LLC’s Isabella Sings sat off the early speed before angling out for the stretch drive and posting a length and a half victory in the $75,000 Miss Liberty Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday before a crowd of 18,147.
Trained by Todd Pletcher, Isabella Sings went the mile over firm turf in a quick 1:33 3/5 and paid $4.20, $3.20 and $2.80 as the favorite in the field of 10 fillies and mares.  Seeking Treasure rallied from the back of the pack to complete the $49.60 exacta and paid $7.20 and $4.60.  It was nearly another length back to Miss Atomic Bomb, who returned $5.80 to show.
“When she broke, I let her decide if she wanted to go to the front,” said winning jockey Paco Lopez.  “We got in a good spot right behind the lead.  She sat comfortably on the backstretch.  I had to check once on the turn, but she was good once we got to the outside and she had a good amount left at the end.”

A homebred 4-year-old by Eskendereya from the Lomitas mare Isobel Baillie, the graded stakes winning Isabella Sings now has a record of 5-4-0 from 14 career starts, good for earnings of $391,950.

Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Monday, May 30 for a special Memorial Day card.  Gates open 11:30 a.m., with first post at 12:50 p.m.  Monday also marks the final day of the 2016 Food Truck Festival.
