SNOW FAIRY will miss the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the remainder of her 2012 campaign after returning from her final piece of serious work before the Longchamp spectacular with heat in a foreleg.
Third in the race last year and a best-priced 8-1 for this year's renewal, the Ed Dunlop-trained mare has had a series of injuries throughout her career that have ruled her out of major targets.
"We don't know everything yet but she did her final piece of serious work yesterday and she worked very well," Dunlop told the Racing Post on Saturday morning. "But at evening stables we realised she has a bit of heat in her foreleg.
