Informed Decision Wins Masters Again

After a stumble out of the gate, Informed Decision and jockey Julien Leparoux had to muster all of their championship talent together if they were going to win the biggest race at Presque Isle Downs again.

In a stirring stretch drive, Informed Decision, eighth at the top of the stretch, caught Dubai Majesty in her final strides to win the Grade 3, $400,000 Masters Stakes by a head on Saturday. It was the second straight Masters victory for the 5-year-old Eclipse Award-winning mare and jockey, and also Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard and George Strawbridge Jr., owner of Augustin Stable.
