Tiz a Slam turned the tables Sunday on Holy Helena, this time getting the better of the Queen’s Plate winner in the Grade 3, $150,000 Ontario Derby run at Woodbine.

The Roger Attfield trainee emerged for a three-length win on the Pattison Canadian International undercard after Holy Helena — the 4-5 favorite — sat second-to-last going into the turn and never caught up.

Tiz a Slam ran to 1 1/8 miles in a final time of 1:51.57 over Woodbine’s All Weather Track.

The race didn’t much set up for Holy Helena to rally after pace-setting Gorgeous Kitten managed the opening half mile in 49.20.

Guy Caballero ran 3rd in the field of nine 3-year-olds.

Ridden by Eurico Rosa Da Silva, Tiz a Slam returned $20.00 at 9-1 odds. The homebred Tiznow colt is owned by Chiefswood Stable and improved his record to 4-2-0 in 11 starts.
