How to watch, listen and live stream Kentucky Derby 2018
The 2018 Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks are around the corner, and there are a multitude of ways to catch the big 3-year-old races without being at Churchill Downs. NBC's coverage gives the ability to watch Derby and Oaks anywhere by television, online streaming via their mobile app.
NBC will broadcast the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 5, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. ET. Coverage of the day’s undercard can also be viewed on NBC Sports Network from 12-2:30 p.m. before the switch to the network station. Post time for the Derby is 6:50 p.m.
In addition to NBC, Horse Racing Radio Network will air the Kentucky Derby undercard from 2-5 p.m. ET and will cover the Kentucky Derby from 5-7 p.m.
One day prior to the Kentucky Derby, the fillies take the stage in the Kentucky Oaks. NBC Sports Network will air the Oaks undercard from 12-3 p.m. Friday, May 4, and show Kentucky Oaks coverage from 5-6:30 p.m. Post time for the Kentucky Oaks is 6:12 p.m ET.
Horse Racing Radio Network will also cover the Kentucky Oaks from 4-6:30 p.m.
NBC coverage can also be streamed online through NBC Sports Live Extra and the NBC Sports Live Extra app, while Churchill Downs' track feed stream is also available through most Advanced Deposit Wagering serves as well.
The big 3-year-old winners from 2017 are likely to return on the Kentucky Oaks undercard. Last year’s Kentucky Derby winner, Always Dreaming, is listed as a probable for the Alysheba Stakes, 2017 Kentucky Oaks winner Abel Tasman is listed as a probable in the La Troienne Stakes, and Salty, fifth in last year’s Oaks, is possible for the same race.
Also on the Oaks undercard are the Edgewood, Eight Belles and Twin Spires Turf Sprint stakes.
The Kentucky Derby undercard includes the Old Forester Turf Classic, the Churchill Downs Stakes, the American Turf, the Humana Distaff, the Longines Distaff Turf Mile and the Pat Day Mile.
