Elliott Walden, president and CEO of WinStar Farm, said Wednesday along with news of Justify’s retirement that WinStar will host tours next month featuring the Triple Crown winner.

Based in Versailles, Ky., just outside of Lexington, WinStar is expected to have Justify ready for tours starting Aug. 13, according to VisitHorseCountry.com. Book early, because the unbeaten son of Scat Daddy could be on the move to Coolmore’s Ashord Stud upon completion of a breeding rights deal.

“As has been reported, there is a possible sale to Coolmore in place, but that won’t be finalized until a later date,” Walden said. “We are excited to share him with our fans starting the middle of August after he gets acclimated.”

A one-hour “Visit WinStar Farm” tour costs $20. A two-hour “extended Shuttle Tour” starts from $30.

The tour schedule is available at visithorsecountry.com/winstarfarm. However, keep in mind this message from the website:

No animal can be guaranteed for any particular tour on any particular day. These dates represent our best understanding of Justify's availability at present time; however, that schedule is subject to change based on factors beyond our control, and no refunds or exchanges may be granted based on the availability of any animal. Per standard Horse Country policy, tours may be rescheduled or cancelled by guests for a refund with 48 business hours or more notice (excepting times the office is closed, Monday-Friday after 5 p.m. and before 8:30 a.m., Saturday and Sunday). Refunds will not be processed for cancellation of tours with less than 48 business hours notice.”

Additionally, West Coast fans can see Justify on Saturday when he parades between races at Del Mar.
