Hot City Girl makes first start since February in Dancin Renee

Sunday's $100,000 Dancin Renee for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-years-old and up features a talented field of seven runners, each looking to start their summer season with a victory at Belmont Park.
Set to make her first start since February for Lady Shelia Stable and trainer Linda Rice is graded stakes winner Hot City Girl. A 4-year-old daughter of City Zip, Hot City Girl emerged as a top sprinter after initially breaking her maiden at Aqueduct Racetrack in 2014. In the following year she captured the Grade 3 Charles Town Oaks Stakes at Charles Town last September. Most recently, after a second-place finish in the grade 1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita Park she finished sixth in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Stakes at Laurel Park on February 13.
Expected to attract a lot of support at the windows, Hot City Girl will leave from post position 4 with Luis Saez in the irons.
Flashy 4-year-old filly Quezon, who has amassed three wins from four starts at Belmont and a career record of four wins from six starts will enter for trainer Bobby Ribaudo and owner Marc Keller. She began her year impressively winning an optional claimer at Gulfstream Park by 4 ¼ lengths before finishing fourth over an off track in the Critical Eye Stakes at Belmont ont May 30. Drawing post 5 she will look to rebound with regular rider Manny Franco aboard.
Trainer Rudy Rodriguez will saddle Court Dancer for owner Michael Dubb. Making her first start since March 26 when she finished seventh in the Primonetta Stakes at Laurel Park. Previous to that race, she won the Broadway Stakes at Aqueduct on February 21. With a career record of one win from four starts at Belmont and four wins from 13 tries at the distance, the 5-year-old daughter of War Chant will leave from post 2 with Dylan Davis aboard.
Looking to move forward off an encouraging second-place finish in the Critical Eye Stakes is Haveyougoneaway for trainer Tom Morley and Sequel Racing. A 5-year-old daughter of Congrats, she has amassed two wins and a pair of second-place finishes from four starts this year. Drawing post 6, Haveyougenaway will be ridden by Kendrick Carmouche.
Rouding out the field is Perfect Freud for trainer Gary Sciacca and owner Michael Hennig; Non Finisce Mai for trainer Gary Gullo and Bob Pertersons Stables, who most recently finished third in an optional claiming race at Aqueduct on April 7; and Isabelle for Hall of Famer Bill Mott and owner William Schettine.
