HorseCenter: Dubai World Cup and Louisiana Derby picks

This week on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman offer analysis and picks for the Dubai World Cup; this week's big Kentucky Derby prep, the Louisiana Derby; along with the Fair Grounds Oaks.

The $12 million Dubai World Cup features Life Is Good who will have to stretch out to 10 furlongs for the first time as he seeks his fourth victory in a row. The four American horses look formidable in the big race, which will be run Saturday morning at 10:05 a.m. EDT.

At the Fair Grounds, the connections of trainer Steve Asmussen and jockey Joel Rosario will try to sweep the $1 million Grade 2 Louisiana Derby and the $400,000 Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks with the heavy favorites Epicenter and champion Echo Zulu.

For those of you who might want to listen in the car, HorseCenter is now available as a podcast, so we should say thanks for listening and/or watching the show.
