Race 5 (1:30 a.m. ET) - Trifecta 4 with 2,7,8 with 2,7,8,10,12,14

The model projects Alpha One to be the speed in this five-furlong sprint on the turf straight at Sha Tin. Expect this horse to break well, stay out of trouble and fight to hang on late.

Fast Network is projected to be the clear favorite at 7-5 odds and should close well. Top rider Zac Purton will give this horse every chance to win.

Two other horses at big prices have projected speeds that are competitive with these top two. Midori Glory has early speed and will be in the mix up front at 10-1 projected odds. Carroll Street has closing speed and will be competitive if apprentice jockey Britney Wong can find running room to exploit her 10-pound weight break.
