Hilda's Passion Solid Choice in Humana Distaff

Will Saturday's Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs be another facile wire job for razor sharp filly Hilda's Passion?

Todd Pletcher's 4-year-old Canadian Frontier filly made all the running in back-to-back graded sprint tallies at Gulfstream and she looms the controlling speed once again. Javier Castellano sticks with the fleet miss and she is the 6-5 morning line favorite.

Amen Hallelujah gave futile chase to the aforementioned favorite and was second best in the Inside information. She just missed a graded synthetic sprint at Keeneland last time and adds blinkers in hopes of staying closer to the pace in the early going. John Velazquez rides.

An intriguing entrant from New Mexico Park is Twelve Twenty Two. The sharp 6-year-old mare captured one of six synthetic starts to begin her career and really blossomed for Henry Dominguez in her last four on dirt at Sunland Park. She easily disposed of her recent competition and will get tested for class today. Julien Leparoux sticks with the value oriented contender.

Versatile filly Evening Jewel handles any footing but appears best over a route of ground.

The seven panel Humana Distaff also includes Sassy Image, Stage Magic, Shotgun Gulch, and Tidal Pool.
