He's Had Enough vs. Baffert Quartet in CashCall Futurity
Scheduled at 1 1/16 miles over Cushion Track, the CashCall Futurity, which offers a guaranteed purse of $750,000, tops a 10-race program that also features the Grade II, $250,000 Hollywood Turf Cup at 1 ½ miles.
Baffert, who has won the Futurity a record six times, will be represented by Carving, Den’s Legacy, Really Mr Greely and Title Contender.
Owned by Baffert’s wife Jill and renowned skier Bode Miller, Carving, who is being supplemented at a total cost of $30,000, is already a stakes winner at the meet. The son of Any Given Saturday and the Giant’s Causeway mare In Seconds won the Real Quiet Nov. 10.
Den’s Legacy and Really Mr Greely have also won stakes – both Grade III’s – during the current season at Betfair Hollywood Park.
A Horse Greeley colt out of the Forest Camp mare Mattie Camp, Really Mr Greely won the Hollywood Prevue Nov. 22 as an 11-1 outsider. The victory was the second in three starts for the dark bay, who is owned by Mike Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman. He’s earned $85,620 for a partnership that won the 2009 CashCall Futurity with Lookin At Lucky.
A son of the recently deceased Pulpit out of the Roy mare Winter Garden, Title Contender is 1-for-3 with a bankroll of $36,600.
A gray son of Tapit and the Dixieland Band mare Amelia, He’s Had Enough finished 2 ¼ lengths in front of Capo Bastone when 19-1 in the Juvenile. He’s Had Enough is 1-for-4 with a bankroll of $403,000.
Owned by Bluegrass Hall LLC, the son of Awesome Again and the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tizamazing graduated by 4 ¾ lengths in his fourth start Nov. 25 at Churchill Downs. Oxbow has banked $37,500.
The undefeated Violence will make his third start for Black Rock Stables LLP and trainer Todd Pletcher. A Medaglia d’Oro colt out of the Gone West mare Violent Beauty, Violence followed a debut win at Saratoga Aug. 18 with a two length triumph in the Grade II Nashua Stakes Nov. 4 at Aqueduct. He’s earned $168,000.
Owned by a partnership that includes Rick Awtrey, George Todaro and Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, Fury Kapcori has won two of four and earned $81,000. The Kentucky bred is by Tiznow out of the Go for Gin mare Gin Running.
A gelded son of Street Hero out of the Saint Ballado mare Eastside Ballad, Simon Eyes has one win in four starts for trainer Wesley Ward. He’s earned $50,532 for Ice Wine Stable.
