In the Woodford Presented by Keeneland Select, Havelock captured his third graded stakes at Keeneland by looping the field under Garrett Gomez. Last at the top of the stretch in the 5 ½-furlong dash, Gomez swung Havelock to the outside at the head of the stretch and cruised to victory.

In addition to his 2011 victory in the Woodford, Havelock won this spring’s Shakertown (G3) and joins Silver Timber (2010) as the only other horse to win the Shakertown and Woodford in the same year.

A 6-year-old Maryland-bred gelded son of Great Notion out of the Spectacular Love mare Piconeach (NZ), Havelock increased his career bankroll to $619,514 with Saturday’s $90,000 check.

Trained by Darrin Miller, Havelock covered the 5½ furlongs on a firm turf course in 1:03.17.

Havelock returned $10.60, $6.20 and $4.40. Expecting Cash, ridden by Eddie Castro, returned $23 and $9.80 with Spring to the Sky finishing a neck back in third and paying $5.20 to show under John Velazquez.

Stormofthecentury finished fourth and was followed in order by Global Power, Tour Guide, Console, Ancil, Pirates Vow and Great Mills.
