This Sunday’s Grade 1 betfair.com Haskell Invitational has turned into a rematch between Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist and Preakness victor Exaggerator. For picks and analysis, check out Nyquist led Haskell Invitational 2016: Odds and Analysis from Zipse at the Track.

Haskell morning line odds and post positions can be seen below on the HRN Stakes Tracker.

The Haskell could be the race to determine Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Colt honors. Race favorite Nyquist, already a champion at two, will be making his first start back since running third in the Preakness. He arrived at Monmouth Park on Wednesday after trainer Doug O’Neill finished up final preparations at Del Mar.

On the same day, trainer Keith Desormeaux announced that Exaggerator would bypass the Jim Dandy for the Haskell and take on Nyquist in pursuit of an Eclipse title and a bigger purse. Exaggerator could also benefit from the speed that will come from Nyquist, American Freedom, and Gun Runner.

Another California shipper, Bob Baffert-trained American Freedom will attempt to give his Hall of Fame trainer a ninth Haskell victory. 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah provided Baffert with his eighth Haskell win a year ago.
