Time Will Tell LLC and Last Mango Racing Stable’s H an F’s Sensation, who scored the second win of his brief career in first level allowance company at Delta Downs on Jan. 18, may rule the choice when he heads a field of eight accredited Louisiana-bred sophomores in Saturday’s 33rd running of the $60,000 Gentilly Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.

The restricted stakes race is scheduled at about one mile over the Stall-Wilson turf course and will be complemented by the 12th renewal of the $60,000 Sarah Lane’s Oates Stakes for 3-year-old accredited Louisiana-bred fillies as the afternoon’s supporting feature.

Danny Brown and Wes Hawley’s Artist Cry, with back-to-back victories in her last two starts, both on the Stall-Wilson, gets a slight edge when she faces nine rivals in that test, also on the lawn at about one mile.

H an F’s Sensation, trained by Tom Amoss and will have jockey James Graham in the irons.

Artist Cry, conditioned by Wes Hawley, also has Graham slated for the saddle.

H an F’s Sensation could face a stiff challenge from  Diamond Racing et al.’s Mypalcharliebrown, who finished second by a head in the $150,000 Louisiana Legacy at Delta Downs last Nov. 23.  He is trained by Leo Gabriel Jr.  Jamie Theriot has been named to handle the reins.

Artist Cry’s main competition could come from Glamoride (Jamie Theriot) and I Love Cher (Rosie Napravnik), who ran second and third, respectively, behind Artist Cry in her most recent score. P T’s Jewel, who won her last two starts by a combined 19 lengths but will be making her first start over grass, is owned and trained by Artist Cry’s same connections. Leandro Goncalves gets the mount.

Facing those two in the Sarah Lane’s Oates are Fifolet, Robby Albarado; Suaveberry, Shaun Bridgmohan; Ain’t No Better, Kerwin Clark; Tedious, Brian Hernandez Jr.; Blading Wild Cat, Richard Eramia; and Demi’s Kitten, Miguel Mena.

Completing the field for Gentilly is B and B’s Pulpit, Brian Hernandez Jr.; You’ve Got a Friend, Richard Eramia; Brother Maxwell, Kerwin Clark; Worldly Vision, Miguel Mena; Lori’s Darling, Leandro Goncalves; and Clueless Rusty, Robby Albarado.
