Gulfstream Park's special holiday program Monday afternoon will have a guaranteed 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool of $150,000.

First race post time for the special 10-race program will be 1 p.m.

Last week the Rainbow 6 was hit for $133,874.56 by a bettor with a $4 ticket. Earlier in the meet, a $12.80 returned a bettor $242,469.46.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Five of six winners in the Rainbow 6 Sunday returned $683.24.
In the 11th and final race of the day, Moonshine Sipper (3-1) was disqualified from first to third and Space Cowboy, a 60-1 longshot, was placed first. The disqualification resulted in a Pick 5 payoff of $88,572.80.

Along with the guaranteed pool in the Rainbow, there were be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $5,376.87.

Who's Hot: Trainer Larry Pilotti continues his torrid Gulfstream streak, saddling Rainy Night ($4.60) to victory in the fourth and B L's Wagon ($10) to victory in the seventh. Pilotti has won with seven of the 16 horses he's saddled at the meet and has a 75 percent in-the-money average. The longtime South Florida conditioner trained 2000 Spectacular Bid Stakes (G3) winner B L's Appeal and 1998 Shirley Jones (G3) and First Lady Handicap (G3) winner U Can Do It.

Jockey John Velazquez rode two winners, riding Escondido ($4.60) to victory in the third and Tapitry ($10.20) in the sixth while leading rider Javier Castellano won aboard Gorgeous Dream ($6) in the fifth and B L's Wagon. Jockey Jose Caraballo won the second race with Valid Concept ($18.40) and that was placed first in the 11th with Space Cowboy ($134.40).
