Gulfstream's Rainbow 6 Guaranteed at $150K
Gulfstream Park's special holiday program Monday afternoon will have a guaranteed 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool of $150,000.
First race post time for the special 10-race program will be 1 p.m.
Last week the Rainbow 6 was hit for $133,874.56 by a bettor with a $4 ticket. Earlier in the meet, a $12.80 returned a bettor $242,469.46.
Along with the guaranteed pool in the Rainbow, there were be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $5,376.87.
Who's Hot: Trainer Larry Pilotti continues his torrid Gulfstream streak, saddling Rainy Night ($4.60) to victory in the fourth and B L's Wagon ($10) to victory in the seventh. Pilotti has won with seven of the 16 horses he's saddled at the meet and has a 75 percent in-the-money average. The longtime South Florida conditioner trained 2000 Spectacular Bid Stakes (G3) winner B L's Appeal and 1998 Shirley Jones (G3) and First Lady Handicap (G3) winner U Can Do It.
Jockey John Velazquez rode two winners, riding Escondido ($4.60) to victory in the third and Tapitry ($10.20) in the sixth while leading rider Javier Castellano won aboard Gorgeous Dream ($6) in the fifth and B L's Wagon. Jockey Jose Caraballo won the second race with Valid Concept ($18.40) and that was placed first in the 11th with Space Cowboy ($134.40).
