Gulfstream Park to offer Florida Derby advance wagering

Whether you’re betting Saturday’s Florida Derby (G1) or one of the six other stakes, you can play Gulfstream Park’s 14-race program beginning Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday’s Derby Day program begins with a first race post of 11:30 a.m. with the Florida Derby carded as Race 14, the finale, at 6:36 p.m.

Among the featured sequences are the guaranteed $750,000 Late Pick 4 or $500,000 Late Pick 5. Additionally, going into Thursday the Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot had swelled to more than $2.4 million with a mandatory payout scheduled for Saturday.

Other graded stakes on Saturday's card are the Gulfstream Park Mile (G2), Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) and Pan American.

As for Friday, first race post is 1:15 p.m., and the 11-race program includes the $100,000 Skip Away Stakes, $100,000 Appleton Handicap (G3) and $100,000 Orchid Handicap (G3).

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit seven times, most recently for a $227,505.88 payout Feb. 15.
