Eight fillies and mares, 3 and up, were entered in race 8, an optional-claiming allowance sprint going five furlongs on the grass. The sequence ends with race 10, the $70,000 Warrior’s Pride overnight handicap for 3-year-olds and up sprinting five furlongs on the turf. Synthetic-stakes winner Reef Runner, 13-for-17 lifetime in the money, returns as a gelding in his first start since May 1 as one of the two entrants for trainer David Fawkes. Trainer Joe Orseno counters with And Uwish, winner of the Successful Native handicap July 6, and dual stakes-placed Extendo.
In the Rainbow 6, the jackpot pool only is paid when there is a single ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70% of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, and 30% is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on mandatory-payout days, the entire jackpot pool goes to the bettor or bettors with the most winners in the wager’s six-race sequence.
