Gulfstream Park: Olivia Darling is among 8 in Hurricane Bertie

Olivia Darling, who won the seven-furlong Inside Information (G2) by 2 1/2 lengths on Jan. 27, will try 6 1/2 furlongs over the same Gulfstream Park main track Saturday when she goes in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes.

Eight older fillies and mares were entered to contest the Hurricane Bertie, which will be the 10th of 11 races with a Saturday post time of 4:36 p.m. EST. The first post is at 12:10 p.m. EST.

Jorge Delgado trains Olivia Darling, who will be ridden by David Egan from post 5 in the field of eight. Amo Racing USA owns the 5-year-old Palace mare.

Red Carpet Ready, who won last year in the Forward Gal (G3) and the Eight Belles (G2), makes her first start for trainer Rusty Arnold since she finished seventh of eight in the Victory Ride (G3) on July 8 at Belmont Park. Luis Sáez will ride the 4-year-old Oscar Performance filly out of post 2.

Spirit Wind, who won the Sugar Swirl (G3) last out Dec. 23 at Gulfstream Park, switches to Saffie Joseph Jr., her third trainer in as many races. Edgard Zayas will be her fourth different jockey in the past year. The 5-year-old Bahamian Squall mare starts from post 4.
