Greatest Honour, Spielberg work ahead of Florida Derby
Greatest Honour and Spielberg were among the Kentucky Derby contenders on the worktab Sunday.
After Spielberg breezed five furlongs at Santa Anita in 59.40, Bob Baffert told the Gulfstream media team: “He went well. He’s very workmanlike and he’s steady. He’s doing well.”
Speilberg is expected to start next in Saturday's Florida Derby (G1).
Greatest Honour, also expected in the Florida Derby, had a half-mile breeze in 50.40 at Payson Park.
“He’s not a good work horse, but I thought this was a lot like his work before the Fountain of Youth, maybe better,” trainer Shug McGaughey told Gulfsteam.
