Dual grade I winner Champagne d'Oro has been retired from racing and is scheduled to ship to Darley near Lexington Jan. 11 to be bred to Bernardini, according to trainer Eric Guillot.
Owned by Southern Equine Stable and Mike Smith, Champagne d'Oro finished eighth in the Monrovia Stakes (gr. IIIT) on the Santa Anita hillside turf course in her final start Jan. 2.
