Got Stormy, comebacking Finite lead Wednesday's graded-stakes works

It was a light work tab of graded stakes winners on Wednesday. Got Stormy returned to work following her effort in the Poker (G3) at Belmont, while 3-year-old filly Finite-- who won the Rachel Alexandra (G2) earlier this year-- continues to train for her comeback after surgery to remove an ankle chip.

Got Stormy (Get Stormy) a two time Grade 1 winner (2019 Matriarch 2019 Fourstardave) worked 4 furlongs in 48.3 at Saratoga on Wednesday morning. It was the second fastest of 13 works at the distance. This is her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed 4th in the Poker (G3) going 1 mile on the turf at Belmont Park on July 4 for trainer Mark Casse. She is slated to defend her title in the Fourstardave Handicap (G1) on Aug. 22 at Saratoga. 

Finite (Munnings) a two time Grade 2 winner (2020 Rachel Alexandra 2019 Golden Rod) worked 5 furlongs in 1:01.8 at Churchill Downs on Wednesday morning. It was the 12th fastest of 34 works at the distance. Her previous work was 6 days ago going 5 furlongs at Churchill Downs. In her last start she placed 4th in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on March 21 for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Shedaresthedevil (Daredevil) a two time Grade 3 winner (2020 Indiana Oaks 2020 Honeybee) worked 4 furlongs in 49.4 at Churchill Downs on Wednesday morning. It was the 33rd fastest of 73 works at the distance. This is her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed 1st in the Indiana Oaks (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Indiana Grand Race Course on July 8 for trainer Brad Cox.

Engage (Into Mischief) a Grade 2 winner (2019 Phoenix) worked 4 furlongs in 53.6 at Churchill Downs on Wednesday morning. It was the 73rd fastest of 73 works at the distance. His previous work was 6 days ago going 4 furlongs at Churchill Downs. In his last start he placed 4th in the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) going 6 furlongs on the main track at Santa Anita Park on November 2 for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Gucci Factor (Gio Ponti) a Grade 3 winner (2019 Poker) worked 5 furlongs in 1:03.0 at Belmont Park on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of 7 works at the distance. His previous work was 7 days ago going 5 furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he placed 9th in the Fort Marcy (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Belmont Park on June 6 for trainer Christophe Clement.
