Santa Anita Derby winner Goldencents will make his first start since finishing fifth in the Preakness Stakes in May as part of a field of six entered Thursday morning for Sunday’s $300,000 Grade I six-furlong Bing Crosby Stakes.

The Crosby, which often determines the meeting’s sprint champion, is the first of five Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races at Del Mar this summer. Breeders’ Cup will pay the entry fees and a shipping allowance to the Crosby winner for the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint in the November championship event at Santa Anita.

The Crosby field from the rail out: Coach Bob (Marsha Stortz), Goldencents (Kevin Krigger), Majestic City (David Flores), Comma to the Top (Edwin Maldonado), Jimmy Creed (Rafael Bejarano), and Points Off The Bench (Mike Smith).
