Check out Golden Gate late Pick 4 plays with Pro Reports
With Santa Anita dark this weekend, the late West Coast action is at Golden Gate. Let's take a look at the late Pick 4 using the Horse Racing Nation Pro Reports.
Speaking of which, one player leveraged the HRN Sire Moves report to find a 77-1 long shot and hit a gigantic $60,000 score Friday at Turfway Park.
Here was that Sire Move. The winner's sire Ironicus was only nine percent in synthetic routes but he was turning back to a sprint where Ironicus gets 22-percent winners:
The Sire Moves report points out horses that may move up or down significantly when switching surfaces and distances.
Based on the Sire Moves report, it is probably worth giving a second look to No. 6 Blossoming (10-1 morning line) in race six, who won his only synthetic route start. Also take a look at No. 5 Dramatizer, who is 4-1 in race eight and has never run in a synthetic route, but whose sire Exaggerator's win percentage jumps from nine percent to 18 percent in that scenario.
But the one that interests me the most is No. 5 Stormin Galileo, who is 12-1 in race nine. He has lost in four attempts sprinting at Golden Gate, but his sire stats show a big improvement in stretching out.
Looking at the Pace Report, with a pace number of 43 for race nine, there isn't that much projected pace. If Stormin Galileo can get a comfortable pace, he may be able to wire the last at a nice price.
Putting it all together, here is my ticket:
$1 Pick 4 = $18
Race 6 - 4,5
Race 7 - 5
Race 8 - 1,6,7
Race 9 - 2,4,5
Then I will come back and play it one more time singling the 5 in the last for $2, which will cost another $12, making a total $30 bet.
