American turf champion Gio Ponti is likely to run in Florida later this month in preparation for another tilt at the Dubai World Cup, for which he is a best-priced 10-1 with British bookmakers.
Trainer Christophe Clement is eyeing the Canadian Turf Stakes, a Grade 3 event on Sunday February 27 at Gulfstream Park.
"He's doing very well," Clement told the Daily Racing Form. "He'll breeze back at Payson Park on Saturday, after which I'll make a final decision, but at the moment the plan is to bring him back in the Canadian."
